My name is Jose Garcia, and I am the 2020 Multicultural Greek Council

President. The Multicultural Greek Council at UC San Diego is committed

to the values of multiculturalism, philanthropy, and unity. Our values as a

council and as individual chapters allow for us to establish meaningful

and lifelong relationships among our members and the greater Sorority

and Fraternity Life community. 

 

This council is composed of seventeen chapters deeply rooted in various cultural and identity-based values. The Multicultural Greek Council consists of organizations that represent Asian, Armenian, Latinx, Multicultural, and Queer communities. Even though we vary in cultures and identities we pride ourselves in advocating and raising awareness for the communities that are organizations were founded on. 

 

Being a Multicultural Greek Council member allows you to encounter numerous opportunities in service, academics, and leadership development. We hope our council can be a place for you to grow during and after your time here at UC San Diego. I encourage you to explore the various fraternities and sororities that are council encompasses. This community has provided me with various opportunities that I never thought would contribute to the strong leader I am today. I hope you too can find your home away from home within the Multicultural Greek Council!
